On supported iPhones, PianoCam identifies piano notes on your device; your audio is not uploaded. On devices that cannot run the model, the audio from a clip is uploaded to Replicate to identify piano notes. When you request a score, edited note events are sent to OpenAI to arrange notation. Your video stays on your device unless you choose to share it.
A random credential stored in your device Keychain identifies your device balance; we store only derived identifiers, not a hardware ID. Apple DeviceCheck verifies eligibility for free credits using an ephemeral device token and a per-device trial flag stored by Apple. Reinstalling does not reset that flag. We store a pseudonymous device identifier, processing jobs, usage counts and purchase transaction identifiers and sheet-music-credit balances to deliver the service. Anonymous installation identifiers and product usage events are sent to PostHog for analytics. We do not send video, audio, note content or filenames to PostHog, and session replay is disabled. We do not sell your data or use advertising trackers.
Uploaded audio files are deleted from our Replicate file storage after a job finishes; providers may retain data under their own service policies. Saved cloud note and score results remain until you delete your cloud data. Local projects remain on your device.
If you choose "Feature me on PianoCam's TikTok" and agree, the exported video you picked is uploaded to PianoCam with the handle you enter. We use it only to consider posting it, with credit, on PianoCam's TikTok and other social accounts. Submitted videos are kept until you remove them, which you can do from the app, through the support link, or by deleting your cloud data. A video already posted is taken down when you ask.
Delete cloud data from Settings to remove processing records and request deletion of stored provider files and responses. Unused credits are forfeited. Minimal pseudonymous purchase and trial/credit-use records are retained for refunds, accounting and prevention of duplicate redemption; they contain no video, audio or note content.
